Melfort Evangelical

 

Children, youth and families have a very special place in our church family at MECC. 

 

We offer a variety of opportunities to build relationships with one another as we continue in our journey knowing God.

 

Please see below where you can fit in – there is a place for everyone!

Sundays: During our Sunday morning services, we offer the children coloring pages. There is also a nursery available with volunteers.

Sunday School: All ages in our church will be going through material from the Gospel Project. Each lesson for each age group corresponds to the same Scripture text. This way everyone in the family is learning about the same content, from kindergarten through to adults.

Family Events: Throughout the year, there are many opportunities to do activities together as families! Whether it’s a ball game, curling, swimming, or a potluck and games, these nights are always fun.

​

Tweens: For kids in Grades 5 & 6 there is a weekly Bible study that meets on Wednesdays from 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM. There is always lots of energy in this group, so it’s great to have some gym time after the study. Our first night will be Wednesday, October 12, 2022. If you would like to stay informed about what is happening with the group, text the word mecctweens to the number 1-306-517-6220 to be subscribed to the Tweens updates. You will receive information via text every week.

Once a month there is a Tweens Friday night event. During this evening we engage a large group of energetic kids in some games, activities, and food! Our first Friday night Tweens event is September 30, 2022. You can contact the church for more information closer to the date.

Youth Group: This is our activities geared to Grade 7 – 12. We meet weekly at the church on Mondays for Bible study from 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM. We will be taking an in depth look at the Gospel of Matthew through the year. This is open to any student from Melfort and area and would love to have you join us. You do not need to have any prior church involvement to be a part of our group! Scattered throughout our year we schedule in Friday night fun events, so make sure to ask about those details.
